TOWNSEND, TN -- Leah Marlene, a finalist from last year’s American Idol competition, will headline the season-opening concert for the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center in Townsend, TN, on Friday, April 28, 2023.

Leah Marlene is a songwriter, artist, and producer with a deeply rooted desire to create art unlike anything you have heard before. With a unique, engaging voice and a songwriting style that combines elements of folk, rock, pop, soul, funk, jazz and more, she cannot be put into a box! Leah took the music world by storm on last season’s American Idol. Her performance of original songs like “Wisher to the Well” and “Flowers” led Katy Perry to describe her as “the whole package.” Leah made her way to the competition’s final night and earned thousands of devoted fans in the process.

Leah is now embarking on a 21-city tour this spring, with just two of those appearances in Tennessee—the show in Townsend and a show in Nashville. General admission tickets are $30 each for Heritage Center members and $35 for non-members. Tickets may be purchased online or by phone at 865-448-0044. Doors open at 5:30 PM ET, and the show will begin at 7:00 PM ET.

The Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center opened in 2006 and has earned a reputation as one of the best concert venues in the Smokies. Its 350-seat, covered, open-air amphitheater has played host to GRAMMY winners, hall of famers, up-and-comers, and musical legends.

The 2023 specialty concert schedule features:

Leah Marlene w/Trio (April 28)
Darin and Brooke Aldridge (June 9)
On the Border: Ultimate Eagles Tribute (July 28)
Billy Dean (September 8)
High Fidelity (September 22)
