Pat Benatar among iconic music acts coming to the local region

Rock icon Pat Benatar and Neil Gerardo will perform at Harrahs Cherokee Event Center in Cherokee Friday April 21st.


Within a ninety-minute drive of Knoxville are several venues offering a litany of choices in musical entertainment featuring rock and roll hall of famers and giants of country music.

Classic rockers Pat Benatar and her husband Neil Giraldo will be performing at Harrah’s Casino Event Center April 21st at 9;30 p.m. The couple were both inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. Benatar first burst onto the music scene in the ‘80s with a string of hits including “Love is a Battlefield”, “Heartbreaker”, “We Live for Love”, and her biggest hit “Hit Me with your Best Shot.”

Benatar had eight straight platinum albums, 15 top 40 hits and won four Grammy Awards and three American Music Awards. The couple have made numerous T.V. appearances appearing on CMT Crossroads and “Dharma and Greg” among many others.

Closer to home the Thompson-Boling Arena will be featuring an amazing line up of rock and country stars in the coming months including; Lizzo, Stevie Nicks, Bush, country music legend Hank Williams Jr., Thomas Rhett, Guns and Roses and heavy metal legends Kiss.

The historic Tennessee Theater will feature Amy Grant on April 28. In May the venue will feature Gary Clark, Jr., on the 2nd, Keb M on May 12, and hard rocker Alice Cooper on the 13th.
