Planting and Music Festival set for April 30
March 12, 2022

ONEIDA, TN - Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area is now accepting applications for food and craft vendors to participate in the 22nd annual Spring Planting and Music Festival on Saturday, April 30, 2022.

A one-time fee of $25 is required for vendors interested in selling crafts or food items during this one-day festival. This fee can also be applied towards an application to be a part of other park-sponsored events such as the Storytelling Festival on September 17, 2022.

All vendors will need to bring their own tent, table, chairs, and equipment. Food vendors only will be provided electrical hook-ups along with access to a water hydrant. Generators are not permitted. The National Park Service policy regarding food sales requires a person on site as business is being conducted be a Certified Food Manager (CFM) as outlined in the FDA Food Code. This is accomplished by successfully passing an accredited ANSI food safety certification exam. A certificate will be required along with the application package and general liability insurance for review and approval by Public Health and Safety.

The National Park Service policy regarding food sales requires proof of general liability insurance as well as a health and safety inspection. Protocols recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will be in place for this event to enhance the protection of individuals and communities from coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19).

Interested individuals should contact the Fee Program Manager, Letitia Neal, (423) 569-7321, or tish_neal@nps.gov. Applications are available online.

Food vendor applications are due no later than March 22, 2022. Craft vendor applications will be accepted up until the day of the event.

For additional information on this special event as well as other events, call (423) 569-9778, or visit online.
