Knoxville Symphony Orchestra to present 30th anniversary of “Bugs Bunny at the Symphony”

The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will present its second Knoxville News Sentinel Pops Series concert of the season, “Bugs Bunny at the Symphony: 30th Anniversary Edition,” on Saturday, Jan. 15, at 8 p.m. at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium. Created by George Daugherty and David Ka Lik Wong, the KSO will perform beloved Looney Tunes classics under the direction of Daugherty.
Looney Tunes shorts will be broadcast above the stage while the KSO provides live orchestral accompaniment to iconic classics like “The Rabbit of Seville,” “What’s Opera Doc?” and “Rhapsody Rabbit.”

Led by Music Director Aram Demirjian, the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra consists of 80 professional musicians and performs 300 programs throughout the region each season, reaching audiences of more than 200,000 people.
