KNOXVILLE -- Knoxville Cycleboats welcomes back warm-weather adventures by announcing its first full season out on the water. The official kick off is set for Friday, April 1st at the Volunteer Landing Marina. A delightful outdoor activity, the company first launched with a partial season in the fall of 2021 with their namesake all-weather 20-person pedal vessels.

The vessels feature multiple pedal stations around a central bar top fitted with cupholders for BYOB drinks and food onboard. Each cruise is guided by a licensed captain and deckhand, offering guests the opportunity for hands-off exploration of Knoxville from a unique vantage point and front row seat to its breathtaking natural beauty or game day festivities.

Brand new for 2022
Now, kicking off this May for the first time in Knoxville, the team is unveiling a new way to explore the river with the addition of sleek electric-powered Luxury Duffy Boats to their vessel offerings. The classic, eco-friendly 21-foot boats offer more intimate rides for smaller groups and comfortable seating for up to 10 passengers, with a covered seating area and exposed back deck for exceptional views from the water. The boats are designed for self-guided tours with family and friends, featuring an easy-to-operate steering system, Bluetooth radios, onboard coolers and many more amenities for worry-free sailing.

Much more to come as the Knoxville team settles into the 2022 season — be on the lookout for partnerships and collaborations with local breweries, distilleries, restaurants, events out on the water and other activations at the marina.

Knoxville Cycleboats launch from Volunteer Landing Marina at 956 Volunteer Landing, Wednesday through Sunday and prices start at $99 for Duffy Boat cruises and $329 for Cycleboat cruises.

About Knoxville Cycleboats
Launched in 2021, Knoxville Cycleboats offers a one-of-a-kind way for groups to explore and enjoy the scenic riverfront of its namesake city during private cruises. Founded by Chicago entrepreneur Ron Silvia, Knoxville Cycleboats is the first out-of-state offshoot of parent company Chicago Electric Boat Company. In Chicago, Silvia acts as one of the city's foremost authorities on boating and river recreation, serving as a member of the Chicago Harbor Safety Committee and President of Downtown Docks, and plays an active role in the city’s continued waterfront developments.

Equipped with individual pedal stations and a motor assist for smooth sailing, Knoxville Cycleboats’ twenty-person vessel provides a fun and unique setting for nautical group outings and celebrations on the water with family, friends or co-workers. Cruises are captained by a licensed professional and include a deckhand on board for assistance along with US Coast Guard-required safety gear. Their newest vessel, the 21-foot Luxury Duffy, offers parties of up to 10 the opportunity for self-guided adventures out on the water. For all cruises, guests are encouraged to bring their own food and beverages to enjoy while cruising the river to a soundtrack of their choice courtesy of the boat's user-friendly Bluetooth sound system.
