Gatlinburg Songwriters Festival welcomes Grammy award-winning, hit-making artists

GATLINBURG, TN -- Celebrating the sights and sounds of the rich artistry of music, the Gatlinburg Songwriters Festival will take place August 18-21, in downtown Gatlinburg. Venues including Ober Gatlinburg, Ole Red Gatlinburg, Gatlinburg SkyLift Park, The Park Vista, a Doubletree by Hilton, The Historic Gatlinburg Inn, Ole Smoky Distillery, Shine Shack and Gatlinburg Brewing Company will host a star-studded line-up of performances throughout the event.







Grammy awarding-winning artist and Grand Ole Opry member, Larry Gatlin, will headline the event along with Tommy “C. Thomas Howell” and Onoleigh. The festival features nightly performances from Nashville’s biggest names in songwriting. Credited for writing #1 hits for artists such as Brad Paisley, George Straight, and Garth Brooks, the list of performers includes renowned names in the industry such as Shane Stevens, Tony Arata, Danny Wells, Will Nance, Steve Dean, and more.

Festivalgoers can also be mentored by the best in the industry. Professionals from Music Row’s RCA Studio C and Nashville’s hit-making songwriters will both offer opportunities for growth and development of up-and-coming artists through mentoring sessions, each specializing in a variety of different aspects of the trade including songwriting, production, wealth management, artist development and more. Gatlin will also be hosting a Mastering Songwriting Lecture. It is encouraged for those participating to sign up early.







Mainstream Today’s Devon O’Day will MC the event. O’Day adds to the festival’s spectacular roster of talent with a background steeped in country music’s radio scene. O’Day has worked with syndicated shows broadcasted nation-wide, such as Country Hitmakers, The Saturday Night House Party, America’s #1s, as well as The House Foundation with Gerry House and Mix92.9 Nashville.

The Gatlinburg Songwriters Festival offers performances free and open to the public. In addition to these, special performances and events are available for purchase with a membership or ticket.
