55th annual Abingdon Kiwanis Club Christmas Parade set for Dec. 3

ABINGDON, VA -- The 55th Annual Christmas Parade, organized by the Kiwanis Club for the Town of Abingdon, will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2022. The parade is sponsored by Bart Long & Associates Realty and Auction, LLC.

The Kiwanis Club of Abingdon is excited to b e back for the 2022 parade, which will march on Main Street from Court Street to Palmer Street.

Registration for the parade this year is through Eventbrite. Interested participants may pay by credit card, Apply Pay, or PayPal. More information, such as rules and registration, can be found on the Kiwanis Club website.

Those still wishing to pay by check or cash can do so in person at the Washington County Public Library in Abingdon (205 Oak Hill Street) – ask for Amanda Bailey.

Regarding public safety, the following statement has been issued by Abingdon Police Department:

"For the benefit and safety of all visitors and spectators, there will be NO parking on Main Street from 3 P.M. until the conclusion of the parade. Parking will be available on numerous side streets and in parking lots throughout downtown."
