PIGEON FORGE, TN – An exciting new virtual reality attraction called Power-UP has come to Rockin’ Raceway in Pigeon Forge. Using motion technology, the high-energy, four-player platform is the only attraction that allows guests to experience running in virtual reality. To enhance the guests overall experience, the attraction includes a built-in staging area with 8 seats, 11 TVs, 11 touchscreens, pre- and post-game show and recorded gameplay video for social sharing. Players have the option of 4 games ranging from co-operative arena-style shooters to player-vs-player deathmatch games. Power-UP costs just $12 per person with each game lasting around 15 minutes. FACE Amusement Group, in partnership with Virtuix, developer of Omni ArenaTM, brings the attraction to Pigeon Forge.

“We are eager to bring a new level of amusement to the classic environment of Rockin’ Raceway,” said Bucky Mabe, CEO of FACE Amusement Group. “This action-packed attraction allows guests to explore the world of virtual reality and with its 4 games and ongoing prize contests, players have plenty to keep them coming back for more.”

The Rockin’ Raceway entertainment complex is located directly on the Pigeon Forge parkway and features go-kart racing and over 150 modern arcade games. Rather than juggling tokens and tickets, gamers are provided playcards that virtually store winnings and may be easily replenished at multiple user-friendly kiosks throughout the arcade. The Rockin’ Raceway redemption counter features well-known brands and products, including YETI products, Legos, NERF and many more.

“We’re excited to work with FACE Amusement Group and bring Omni Arena to Pigeon Forge,” said Jan Goetgeluk, CEO of Virtuix. “This is the first-of-its-kind arena in Tennessee, and we’re sponsoring a $50,000 prize pool for players to come compete against teams around the world.”

Rockin’ Raceway is open 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday. For more information, visit www.rockinraceway.com or call (865) 428-3392.
