Black History Month Kick-Off

A Journey through the World of Art with African-American Artists


OAK RIDGE, TN – The Oak Ridge Chapter of Blacks in Government (BIG), the American Museum of Science & Energy (AMSE), and the Department of Energy is sponsoring an evening with African-American Artists on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This event will be held at the AMSE located at 115 Main Street East, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. This event is free to everyone. Light refreshments will be served.

BIG is a non-profit organization that has been in existence since 1975. BIG was established to provide aid in a national response to the needs of African-Americans in public service, to organize around issues of mutual concern, and to use the organization’s collective strength to confront workplace and community issues. BIG strives to promote equality in all aspects of American life and excellence in public service.
