Knoxville hosting GWRRA’s 40th Annual Wing Ding

PHOENIX, AZ – GWRRA's 40th annual convention “Wing Ding” will be returning to Knoxville August 28 – September 1, 2018. This year’s event coincides with Honda’s release of the all-new, completely redesigned Gold Wing. With available demo rides as well as two presentations from Honda executives, the new bike is sure to be a featured attraction at this year’s event.

"We are thrilled to be once again hosting the Annual Wing Ding convention here in Knoxville," said Kim Bumpas, President of Visit Knoxville. "This will be the fifth GWRRA event in our city, and we look forward to creating new memories with motorcycle riders for the 40th year celebration."

The presentations will be held on Wednesday, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday, from 10:00 a.m to 11:00 p.m. Both will be held in the Lecture Hall of the Knoxville Convention Center.

The event also features an indoor trade show with over 200 exhibitors, seminars, entertainment events, and much more. Don’t miss the Law Tiger’s Bike Night in the Old City on Friday, August 31st. This event will feature a bike parade right down Gay Street starting at 7:00pm, ending in the Old City with a People’s Choice Bike Show, Light Show, Food Trucks, and a live broadcast from 93.1 WNOX.

The Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) is the world's largest single-marque social organization for owners and riders of Honda Gold Wing/Valkyrie motorcycles -- and some would say, the world's largest family. Dedicated to our motto, Friends for Fun, Safety and Knowledge, GWRRA Members enjoy the freedom of belonging to a not-for-profit, non-religious and non-political organization.

Founded in 1977, GWRRA has grown to more than 70,000 U.S., Canadian and International Members in 53 foreign countries over a span of 40 years.
