Clogging’s “The Showdown of Champions” will be held in Knoxville Friday and Saturday, January 22-23, 2016 at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium on Friday and Saturday, January 22-23, 2016. The event is hosted by the Clogging Champions of America.

Tickets will be available at the door: $10/one day; $18/two days. Competition begins at 9:00am on Friday with duos and solos. Saturday’s opening ceremony begins at 8:00am, followed by team competitions and culminating in the dance off and awards ceremony Saturday evening.

The Showdown of Champions features “the best of the best” clogging soloists, duos, and teams competing in categories such as: Moving Line, Standing Line, Precision, Hoedown, Artistic Expression, Exhibition, Traditional Standing Line, and more.

Cloggers from across the United States competed at various qualifying competitions throughout 2015 in hopes of earning a coveted spot to compete at CCA’s national championship competition - The Showdown of Champions.

While clogging is often pictured as “country and crinoline,” this level of national competition includes many types of music and overall styles of clog dancing. CCA Showdown of Champions’ innovative and creative competitors respect clogging’s roots while mixing traditional and modern music and choreography - from hoedown to hip hop!
