Billy Goat Tavern features farm-to-table menu items

Billy Goat Tavern in Pigeon Forge held its ribbon cutting ceremony today. This trendy restaurant is located in the former O’Charley’s building but has been beautifully remodeled.

The already popular tavern features a scratch kitchen which specializes in locally sourced and sustainable foods. “We make everything from scratch in our kitchen daily including our breads.” said owner Tom Horne. “Our bar specializes in local craft breweries, craft cocktails and fine wines. We’re proud to be a part of the Smoky Mountain region and look forward to serving its many tourists and locals.”

The menu ranges from appetizers that include cheese fondue, fried green tomatoes, peel and eat shrimp, and steak nachos. Jumbo chicken wings top the main menu along with gourmet burger and and handhelds such as BBQ chicken sandwich, salmon BLT, and fried fish po’ boy. Billy’s Picks include fish ’n chips, ribs, steaks, kabobs, salmon, fettuccini, pork chops and shrimp.

Restaurant decor features art by local artists and craftsmen. Hours of operation are Mon-Th. 11am-11pm; Fri-Sat., 11am-12am; Sunday 11am-10pm.

Situated at the base of the Great Smoky Mountains with picturesque views of Mount LeConte and the surrounding mountains, this is a stop you definitely want to make.
