By Jeaneane Payne, Publisher

Let’s go back in time to the days of old-fashioned Christmas trees, horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday gatherings, nostalgic villages in winter settings, Christmas miracles, and the scenic beauty of nostalgic villages in winter settings. An inspirational and awe-inspiring experience awaits you in the Smoky Mountains during the holiday season.

From November 1, 2015 through January 2, 2016, The Smoky Mountain Palace Theatre in Sevierville, Tenn. will come alive with a magnificent production featuring the beautiful masterpieces of Thomas Kinkade™, the “Painter of Light,” -- Thomas Kinkade's Christmas of Light.

Set in a beautiful wintry stage, Kinkade’s paintings are portrayed on five screens as vocalists with rich tenor and soprano voices belt out a performance of “The Prayer” and a guitarist sings traditional Christmas music. Set to music by live musicians, the full program includes amazing vocalists and a storyteller. Kinkade’s art “offers a place of refuge – a place where the transient things of life give way to the things that matter most.” His art has touched the lives of many people. Let it touch you this holiday season. I recommend that you bring tissues for this very moving and inspirational event which will leave you with thoughts of hope, joy, faith, and family.

Early arrivals to the performance will be bustling throughout the Thomas Kinkade™ gallery located inside the theatre and mingling around the elegant Christmas tree in the lobby.

Thomas Kinkade’s Christmas of Light turns back the clock. Attending the performance is like entering a Christmas card. With the often snow-peaked Smoky Mountains as a back drop as you enter the theatre, Christmas of Light beckons you to retreat for a while into the serenity of one of America's most beautiful productions.

“From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, His name is to be praised” (Psalms 113:3) — thus speaks the paintings of Thomas Kinkade as portrayed in “Christmas of Light”.

This special holiday performance will warm your heart and and fill you with inspiration. Afterwards you might want to enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants close to the theatre — Ruby Tuesday, Texas Roadhouse, Fuddrucker’s, and others.

The Smoky Mountain Palace Theatre is situated in the historic town of Sevierville, which is nestled beside Great Smoky Mountains National Park. In winter, visitors from around the world come to Smoky Mountain Winterfest to enjoy its many festivities. Not everyone attends a live performance, but those who do discover the part of the Smoky Mountains they have been hoping to find — Thomas Kinkade’s Christmas of Light.

The Smoky Mountain Palace Theatre is located at 179 Collier Drive, Sevierville, TN. Tickets can be purchased online at www.thomaskinkadechristmas.com.

Whether performing in Vienna, Austria for a private event, singing the national anthem to 18,000 L.A. Kings hockey fans at the Staples Center, or delivering an intimate tribute on The Wendy Williams Show, he is no stranger to commanding stages large and small and will move each and every member of his audience.

Born in Upstate New York, as a young boy, Daniel played little league baseball, loved cars, participated in the school choir/plays and planned on being a lawyer. Not until his sophomore year in high school when he moved to Las Vegas with his family did that plan start to change. After the move, he started taking voice lessons, was asked to sing his first “non-school” event at the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation’s gala and won the Nevada High School State Voice Competition. No longer playing baseball or planning on going to law school (but still having the love for cars), he was bitten by the true love and appreciation of music. Since then, Daniel has been performing at many extraordinary events and has quickly earned praise by many as “the next most promising up and coming artist to be making big waves in the music business”.

In May 2015, Daniel graduated from Chapman University’s Conservatory of Music as a Presidential Scholar, where he majored in Vocal Performance. He is preparing to release his first solo album accompanied by The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

chris lockwoodChris Lockwood
A Mobile, Ala. native, Chris Lockwood now calls Nashville, Tenn. home. A student of the guitar for more than 25 years, Chris’ daily routine while growing up was practice, practice, sleep, eat, go to school, then practice some more. Playing and singing at church, writing songs at an early age, and performing in talent shows helped lay the foundation in his desire to do music professionally. In 1997, after arriving at the University of Mobile, he started honing his crafts while touring and performing, which really fed his love for the road. After college, he received a phone call and was invited to go on the road and play guitar with contemporary Christian music group, Truth.

After his time with Truth, his focus turned back to the studio, writing songs, recording, and producing, which led to his first record deal with Fairtrade, as a member of CCM pop group, 33Miles. 33Miles was nominated for “Best New Artist” at the GMA Dove Awards, their song “One Life to Love” won BMI “Song of the Year”, and they’ve had numerous top 10 and top 20 radio singles. Throughout the years, 33Miles has partnered and shared the stage with artists such as Amy Grant, Switchfoot, MercyMe, Chris Tomlin, Brandon Heath, Casting Crowns, Britt Nicole, Building 429, and many more.

In fall 2011, Chris recorded & released his first solo EP, Coming Alive, compiled of five original songs he wrote while on the road with 33Miles. His follow-up EP, Heaven on Earth, which was released in spring 2015, is a handful of worship songs he co-wrote with several other worship leaders from around the country.

Among many others, Chris has written songs for 33Miles, Jaci Velasquez, Kutless, Phillips Craig & Dean, Lifeway Christian Resources, TNT Network.

When rarely not working on music, Chris is either spending much needed time with his family, running (literally), reading a good book, or dreaming about the possibilities down the road.
