Fall 2015 Roane Open Art Show set for October 22-30



KINGSTON, TN — The Arts Council of Roane County (ACRC) is holding its Fall 2015 Roane Open Art Show October 22 through October 30. On October 22 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. an Art Bowl Chili and Soup Supper will be at the Kingston Community Center. The exhibition will feature paintings, sculptures, photographs, pottery, and mixed media works by local artists, with most of the art on display available for sale. Free to the public, the show will be open to visitors from October 22 through October 30, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Wednesday and Fridays.

Visitors attending the opening on October 22 will be treated to a bowl of homemade soup or chili for a donation of just $10. For an additional $10, diners can have their meal served in a handcrafted pottery bowl, which is then their’s to take home. All proceeds will help fund future Arts Council programs and activities.

Denise May, ACRC president said, “The ACRC was born, so to speak, at the Kingston Public Library, so we’re delighted to present our Fourth Annual Roane Open Art Show right back here in Kingston. We’ll be showcasing some of the best art from some of the best artists in East Tennessee at a time perfect for anyone wanting to do some artful holiday shopping.”
