KNOXVILLE – The Knoxville Museum of Art and the Knox County Public Defender’s Community Law Office (CLO) present the CLO Arts Academy for Kids art exhibition in the museum’s Education Gallery. The exhibition will be on display throughout the month of February 2015. These young artists, working with art instructor Heather Hartman, have created artworks using several different techniques, themes, and media.

The CLO provides a variety of exciting arts opportunities to children in grades kindergarten through five, introducing them to the world of art in a supportive, nurturing environment and with focus on skill building, collaborative work, and positive communication through various art forms such as visual art, dance, and music. It is a high-energy, fun program in which kids learn, create, make friends, and feel good about themselves.

The community is asked to join the KMA and CLO in recognizing the creative efforts of these talented young students, and the invaluable opportunities made possible for them by their dedicated art teacher Heather Hartman and social services project coordinator Suzanne Petty.
