Twenty five members of the Foothills Craft Guild will exhibit their art at The Fountain City Art Center from August 14 through September 10, 2015. The guild is compiled of some of the finest artisans in the Southeast. An opening reception is set for Friday, August 14, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the art center located at 213 Hotel Avenue next to Fountain City Park.

Crafts will include pottery, hand-turned wooden bowls and vases, handmade books, jewelry, loom-woven garments, knitted and crocheted items, basketry, macrame, stained glass, and other items. Exhibition hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Friday.

Also during the month of August, the center is offering many new workshops and classes for adults as well as an after school class for children ages 6-11 years.
