Tennessee Valley Fair offering Discount Days, September 11-20

KNOXVILLE - Fairgoers on a budget can enjoy the 96th annual Tennessee Valley Fair by taking advantage of special Discount Days:

Opening Day Special - $1.00 Admission
Friday, September 11, 2015
In celebration of our 96th year, fairgoers can enter the fairgrounds on Friday, September 11 for only $1.00. Discount begins at 3:00 p.m. and ends promptly at 4:36 p.m.

Tip: A limited number of free seats are offered in the 400 section of Homer Hamilton for Vanilla Ice's concert at 8:00 p.m. Seats are available on a first come, first serve basis. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at

Wear University of Tennessee team colors and receive $1.00 off admission.

Scout Day
Saturday, September 12, 2015
All current Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts (18 years and under) receive free admission with proper identification. Come enjoy activities just for Scouts and earn a special patch.

Monday, September 14 - Thursday, September 17, 2015
Take advantage of $3.00 off an adult admission (with coupon) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Coupon available in the Fair's 2015 Guidebook or in the Knoxville News Sentinel in the September 11-17 issues.

Students 12th grade and under receive free admission from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Senior Citizen's Day

Seniors age 65+ receive free admission all day. Special entertainment, events and contests are available especially for seniors in the Pepsi Community Tent from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Sponsored by Senior Home Assistance of Tennessee.

Receive $3.00 off an adult admission with any non-winning Tennessee Lottery ticket.
