Historic Ramsey House celebrates Christmas

  christmas wreath workshop

Step back in time to a celebration of Christmas in ages past. Historic Ramsey House will hold its Annual Candlelight Tour on Sunday, December 13th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Enjoy holiday treats, Christmas carols, and tours of the beautifully decorated, candlit historic home. We are sure that Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting with gifts for the little ones as well. Admission is free, but donations are much appreciated.

Every year Julia Shiflett and her "wreath elves" pick the finest fresh greens and holly berries, tie beautiful bows, and find the most fragrant cloves and oranges for you to make a beautiful holiday wreath and pomander for your home. A wreath workshop will be held on Saturday, December 12th starting at 12:30 p.m. with refreshments; instruction begins at 1 p.m. Please bring a pair of small garden shears, garden gloves, and a holiday smile. Everything else will be provided. The cost of the workshop is $35 per person.

For more information or reservations for either event, call Historic Ramsey House at 865-546-0745 or visit www.ramseyhouse.org.
