Fair extends deadline for Medal of Honor Photography Competition

KNOXVILLE - The deadline has been extended for the Tennessee Valley Fair's Medal of Honor Photography Competition. East Tennesseans are encouraged to enter an original photograph that represents the core values of the Congressional Medal of Honor's Character Development Program. The Best in Show youth exhibit will win a $2,500 scholarship. The competition is being offered in conjunction with the upcoming Medal of Honor Convention to be hosted in Knoxville, September 10-13.

Enter a photograph that represents the core values of the CMOH Character Development Program: Courage, Commitment, Integrity, Sacrifice, Citizenship and Patriotism. Youth and adult divisions available. Youth exhibitors ages 13-18 years old are eligible. Registration deadline is August 29: Download entry form.

All entries will be on display at Chilhowee Park during the Tennessee Valley Fair, September 5-14. Special thanks to Knox Area Rotary Clubs representing District 6780 for generously donating the scholarship and prize money for this new competition.
