Fountain City Art Center kicks off spring events with music and art

KNOXVILLE — LeGrand Music Studio is proud to present Choro da Manha and the Brazilian Combo one night only at the Fountain City Art Center (FCAC), Saturday, March 22 at 7 PM. Tickets in advance are $15, $20 at the door, $10 for students. A night of live music will feature the popular Brazilian Choro, guitarists Richard Miller and Jason Ennis, percussionist Ze Mauricio, and sax player Andy Connell. An area artists’ theme show, Illumination, will run through March 22. Admission for Art Center exhibits is always free.

Reservations can be made now for tables of 8 for the annual FCAC signature event: The Garden Party Luncheon and Benefit Auction on May 10, 2014 at Baxter Gardens. This year is the 10th annual garden party with the theme "A Perfect 10". Individuals are $40 in advance or $320 for a table. • Children’s Art Classes for home schooled student ages 6-11 beginning Thursday, March 27
