Fountain City Art Center hosting open show

KNOXVILLE — The Fountain City Art Center invites all 2-D and 3-D artists to enter the 9th Annual FCAC Open Show.

Artists may bring in work from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17. An opening reception and awards presentation will be on Friday, June 20 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The exhibit will be on view to the public through July 12.

Ten cash awards from $200 to $30 will be given based on the merit of the work, not on the category.

The Center also offers classes and workshops all year round and charges no admission to view the exhibits. It also houses the Parkside Open Door Gallery, an art market with fine art and gift items, and LeGrand Music Studio which offers lessons in guitar, voice, piano, and several other instruments.
