KNOXVILLE — The Arts & Culture Alliance is pleased to present a new exhibition of mixed media works by 25 members of the Depot Artists Association in Abingdon, Virginia. The exhibit will run through June 28, 2014 in the Balcony of the Emporium. For the second year in a row, the Alliance is proud to partner with a community-based art gallery in the Southeast for the purpose of promoting local artists within each community. In March, the Arts Depot displayed a selection of works by 38 Knoxville-area artists in their gallery space at 314 Depot Square in Abingdon, Virginia. In exchange, the Alliance now presents this exhibition of works by Arts Depot members at the Emporium.

The works chosen to travel to Knoxville represent a portion of the Arts Depot’s Members as juried by Ed Chitwood during the Depot’s 25th annual Holiday Members Exhibition this past December. The Depot Artist Association is a non-profit, volunteer organization that is dedicated to promoting the arts in the community and supporting the region’s artists. For more information about the Arts Depot, visit www.abingdonartsdepot.org.
