Five Time IBMA Female Vocalist of the Year performing in Knoxville

Five time IBMA Female Vocalist of the Year Dale Ann Bradley will be performing at the Laurel Theater on Friday, March 21.
 
   

KNOXVILLE — Dale Ann Bradley, a five time IBMA Female Vocalist of the Year will be performing at the Laurel Theater on Friday, March 21.

"I grew up in a tar and paper covered shack right near Loretta Lynn's childhood home," reflects Dale Ann Bradley on her origin in the hills of east Kentucky as a hardscrabble preacher's daughter. In the late 1980s she began performing as a solo artist at Renfro Valley then joined up with the New Coon Creek Girls in the early 1990s, performing on the group's 1994 album The L&N Don't Stop Here Anymore. Her first solo album, East Kentucky Morning, came in 1997. Since then she has released seven albums with her latest Somewhere South of Crazy released in 2011. Along the way Dale Ann received five IBMA Female Vocalist of the Year awards, the latest in 2012.

The Laurel Theater is located on the corner of 16th and Laurel Avenue in the historic Fort Sanders neighborhood of Knoxville near the UT campus.
