Cocke County’s inaugural Gateway to the Smokies MoonPie Festival set for May 10, 2014
NEWPORT, TN — Cocke County is holding its first Gateway to the Smokies MoonPie Festival on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Cocke County A&I Fairgrounds. Admission to the event is free.
From 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., the fairgrounds will be robust with activities including a motorcycle and car show, tractor show, music and dancing, craft and food vendors.
This family-friendly festival has something fun for all ages. Kid’s games, a corn hole tournament, and farm olympics will be part of the day’s festivities along with a MoonPie Play by Linda Branam & Beth James.
Topping off the MoonPie Festival is a BBQ Cookoff.
The fairgrounds are located at 112 Fairground Circle, Newport, TN 37821.
