Historic Old North Knoxville celebrates 25th Annual Victorian Holiday Home Tour

holiday home tourKNOXVILLE - Historic Old North Knoxville (ONK) will host its 25th Annual Victorian Holiday Home Tour on December 7th & 8th. The event showcases 11 Victorian and Craftsman style homes plus one historic church decorated for the holidays. ONK's 2012 tour set an attendance record with nearly 1,700 visitors. This year's event is expected to break another record as viewers of DIY Network's "Uncondemned" watch one of the houses go all the way from run down to restored.

The Victorian Holiday Home Tour is a Knoxville Christmas in the City event. December 7th is a candlelight tour from 4:00-9:00pm. December 8th is an afternoon tour from 12:30-5:00pm. Guests should allow themselves a minimum of 2-3 hours to enjoy the event. Parking and continuous bus service is available off Woodland Avenue at the Tennova/St. Mary's Hospital parking lot. Some walking is necessary and some houses have steps. Buses will pass through and stop in the Happy Holler business district on Central Ave., providing the opportunity to stop for drinks or food at local restaurants.

Home Tour tickets are now on sale at 15 area Kroger stores and via paypal at OldNorthKnoxville.com. Advance tickets are $10 and on sale until midnight on Friday Dec. 6th. Pick up programs and ride a shuttle from our ticket booth, in the Woodland Ave. Tennova/St. Mary's Hospital parking lot. Day of event tickets: $15, Senior tickets $10, children under 12 are free with an adult.

This event is hosted by Old North Knoxville, Inc., a not for profit organization whose mission is to preserve, promote and protect the Old North Knoxville historic district. The district includes all properties within:Central, Woodland and Broadway; Cecil, 6th, E. Glenwood and Broadway.
