UT Holiday Musicale to benefit scholarship fund

ut holiday musicaleKNOXVILLE – The School of Music’s Board of Advisers at the University of Tennessee is sponsoring a Holiday Musicale to benefit the School’s student scholarship fund.

Hosted by Board member Bill Rukeyser and his wife Elisabeth, the event will be held Sunday, Dec. 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. and will feature live performances of holiday music performed by UT Music faculty and students.

“School of Music musicales are special events in lovely private homes. A wide variety of beautiful holiday music is played and delicious foods and wines served,” says Board chairperson, Sheena McCall. “It is entertaining, fun and festive.”

The School of Music scholarship fund allows many young musicians the opportunity to benefit from enrollment in the music program who otherwise could not attend.

Reservations for the Holiday Musical are required and can be made by calling the School’s business office at 865-974-7547. The suggested donation is $75 per person. Additional scholarship donations also will be accepted. The School of Music accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard or Discover.

The Holiday Musicale will be held at 1509 Rudder Lane, Knoxville, TN 37919. Heavy hors d’oeuvers will be served and guests are asked to wear casual or festive attire. For more information, visit: www.music.utk.edu/holiday-mus.
