Atlanta-based Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint opens first Knoxville store

KNOXVILLE -- Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint opened their first location in Knoxville, located at the Northshore Town Center on Friday, May 24. The opening marked Uncle Maddio’s 15th restaurant location in the Southeast.

Coined the “Chipotle of pizza,” Uncle Maddio’s offers more choices with an innovative menu that gives customers more than 3 million pizza combinations. Their menu contains three types of crusts (white, wheat, and gluten-free), six sauces, seven cheeses (including Daiya vegan cheese), and 47 different fresh toppings, including locally-sourced, freshly delivered vegetables, hormone-free chicken, organic greens, and handmade meatballs and sausages. In addition to pizza, they serve hot, toasted paninis and made-to-order salads.

On Saturday, June 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Uncle Maddio’s Northshore will donate 50 percent of all proceeds for a “Pizza for the Playground” benefit to support nearby Northshore Elementary School. Members of the Northshore Elementary School staff will be present throughout the event.

The new Knoxville Uncle Maddio’s is located at 2052 Town Center Boulevard in the new Northshore Town Center at the intersection of Northshore Drive and Pellissippi Parkway (I 140). They joined neighbors Target, Publix, and Northshore Elementary School. The restaurant opening has provided new jobs for the area, as well as new and exciting dining, catering, and after-hours event options for locals and businesses.
