Vibraphonist Warren Wolf to perform electrifying jazz vibes at the Square Room

warren wolf jazzKNOXVILLE -- The Knoxville Jazz Orchestra's 13th anniversary 2012-13 concert season continues on Monday, January 28th at 8pm with "Incredible Jazz Vibes with vibraphonist Warren Wolf" and the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra. The program will be held at the Square Room on Market Square, located at 4 Market Square, next door to the Tomato Head.

January's Square Room concert promises to be a "you have to see it to believe it" experience. Although the vibraphone may not be the world's most identifiable instrument, in the hands of young master Warren Wolf it is absolutely electrifying. Wolf's musical education began in earnest at the age of three. His father made sure that he practiced daily on the vibraphone, piano and drum set and introduced him to an array of styles including classical, jazz and pop. No wonder he is one of today's most sought-after young musicians. His resume features performances and globetrotting tours with the likes of Christian McBride, Bobby Watson and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. Sure to be a rollicking good time!

The Knoxville Jazz Orchestra is a 17 piece big band comprised of professional musicians from across the region. Since its inception in 1999, the orchestra has performed dozens of concerts in East Tennessee, appeared on major jazz festivals in Europe, performed and recorded with internationally acclaimed guest artists, and released four critically acclaimed CD recordings.

Tickets for the event are $29.50 adult, $15.00 student. Tickets are available in advance at or by visiting Café 4 at 4 Market Square.
