The High Country is ready for 1st annual Music Fest at Blue Bear Mountain

On August 2 and 3, 2013, the High Country will be alive with music at Blue Bear Mountain's 1st annual Music Fest. A great lineup has been put together for a fun filled weekend of music in the beautiful mountains of Watauga County, North Carolina featuring:

• 4 time Grammy winner David Holt and Josh Goforth
• The SteelDrivers
• The Tennessee Mafia Hillbilly Jug Band (www.tennesseemafiajugband.com)
• Tim Carter ‘Bang Bang’ Tour with Barbra Lamb, Tim May, Adam Chaffin and Matt Flinner
• Charly Horse
• Melissa Reaves and The Willy’s
• George Harper and The Awesome Bastards
• Mel Jones and His Bag of Bones, and more

Four-time Grammy Award winner David Holt is a musician, storyteller, historian, television host and entertainer, dedicated to performing and preserving traditional American music and stories. Holt plays ten acoustic instruments and has released numerous award winning recordings of traditional mountain music and southern folktales.

Holt and rising acoustic music star and Grammy nominee, Josh Goforth join together to bring to life the joy and spirit of old time mountain music and stories.

There will be two stages on the 155 acre camping retreat. The stage is set on top of the mountain so the crowd will have beautiful mountain views.

There will be great food and craft vendors. Coolers are invited.

The music fest will be held at Blue Bear Mountain Campground in Todd, NC (near Boone) located on Longhope Rd. off Hwy 194 North heading towards Todd, NC.

Limited Camping and on-site parking is available.

Shuttle buses will be available with local parking lot locations.
