The Emporium offers professional photographs of your work

Do you need professional photographs of your work for an upcoming juried show, your website, portfolio, etc? The Alliance is happy to announce this opportunity for its members to have their works photographed at the Emporium.

Members may sign up for 30-minute or 60-minute time slots on either Tuesday, November 19, between 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM or Thursday, November 21, between 1:00-5:00 PM. If you are not a member, you may join at www.knoxalliance.com.

30-minute slots are $25 and include up to three works (2-D or 3-D), color-corrected
60-minute slots are $40 and include up to six works (2-D or 3-D), color-corrected
Maximum size of 2-D or 3-D work: 60” in any direction

2-D works will display on an easel; 3-D works will display on a pedestal. Works will be photographed against a black velvet backdrop.

The Alliance will distribute the photographs to artists following the photo session.

Nick Myers is a professional photographer for the University of Tennessee/Video & Photography Center. He has been a professional photographer for over 40 years, and his work includes being a combat photographer in the United States Marine Corps. He has a Master of Photography degree from Professional Photographers of America. He has worked with 8x10 view cameras, medium format, 35mm cameras, and digital.

The UT Photography department is in the Communications building, and there isn’t much they haven’t photographed from peach ice cream to U.S. presidents! Most of the work they do can be classified as industrial/commercial photography. They have their own in-house digital lab, and they can print digital images as wide as 24x60 inches. They also work in PhotoShop and include digital scanning along with an extensive archive.
