Brixx Wood Fired Pizza sponsoring charity volleyball tournament, "Brixx Fire" this weekend

KNOXVILLE -- Brixx Wood Fired Pizza is sponsoring a weekend of fun in the sun, June 22-23. Knoxville and volleyball teams from around the region will gather for “Brixx Fire”, an annual charity volleyball tournament, benefitting the American Cancer Society, at Knoxville Catholic High School, June 22-23. Brixx Pizza invites the public to dine, donate, and spectate, as the Brixx team concludes fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society.

This week through June 24, dine in or carry out guests can enjoy a signature thin-crust pizza at Turkey Creek or West Hills locations and $3 from every pizza purchased will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Guests should mention the volleyball tournament or the American Cancer Society in order for their purchase to go towards the fundraiser. Guests can also enjoy a handcrafted Lagunitas beer and Brixx will donate $1 of the beer purchased to the American Cancer Society. For those of you who like really cool stuff, Brixx in West Hills will be hosting a Silent Auction beginning Friday, June 21. Guests can bid on a variety of cool items and gift baskets. Bidding will end on Monday, June 24, at 11:00pm.

“We’re proud of more than just our fresh ingredients and wide variety of handcrafted beer. Brixx Pizza also takes a lot of pride in partnering with local schools, churches, non-profits and other charitable organizations,” said David Rentschler, Director of Franchise Operations. “It’s important to Brixx to support this community and help Knoxville grow.”

Everyone is invited to join Brixx Pizza Saturday and Sunday to cheer on friends, local junior teams, and travelling semi-pro teams who will thrill spectators with their skills. Brixx Fire will showcase some of the best talent in the southeast. Players and teams are coming from as far as Louisville, KY, Atlanta, GA, Memphis, TN, and Charleston, SC. Concessions will be available for purchase and proceeds from items purchased will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Eat, drink, play volleyball and help fight cancer.
