Creekside Gospel Music Convention to present the 2012 Diamond Awards in Pigeon Forge

Lou Hildreth will celebrate her 75th year in gospel music at the Creekside Gospel Music Convention in PIgeon Forge, TN.


Amidst some of America's most beautiful mountain vistas, a new music event will take place at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in October, 2012. Creekside Gospel Music Convention, presented by SGNScoops, will be a three day event from October 29 through October 31.

Convention festivities will include gospel music, the 2012 Diamond Awards, and a special night of celebrating Ms. Lou Hildreth's seventy five years in gospel music.

The Diamond Awards are scheduled for Tuesday night at the same venue. Admission is free to all events.

Rob Patz, publisher of SGNScoops Magazine, owner of the Diamond Awards says, "I believe God opened the door for our new three day event. I also believe these three days will prove to be an uplifting time of fun and fellowship. It will also be a great time of celebration. I am honored that Ms. Lou Hildreth chose to celebrate her special night with us. She is truly a legend in gospel music. I'm very excited about the Diamond Awards. We have a team of creative individuals and industry professionals working together to present a memorable night."

Fall foliage in the Smoky Mountains will be at its peak during the convention.

"I'm beyond excited," said Rhonda Frye, Editor of Scoops Magazine. "For one, the scenery that time of year is breath-taking! Add outlet shopping, great food, good friends, celebrations and Gospel Music, it's an event you don't want to miss!"

The Diamond Awards are fan based and fan driven. The first two rounds of voting has been counted. The public is asked to participate in the next round.

Booth space is available for artists and groups.

The Smoky Mountain Convention Center is located in the heart of Pigeon Forge, near Gatlinburg.
