Shakespeare On the Square back on Stage

The Tennessee Stage Company will be back on Market Square for its tenth season of Shakespeare On The Square (and its 22nd summer Shakespeare season), featuring "As You Like It" and "Julius Caesar."

Shows start at 7 p.m. and run Thurs. – Sun., July 12 – Aug. 12.

Performances are free. Donations will be accepted to help support the work of the Tennessee Stage Company.

"Julius Caesar" is directed by Tennessee Stage Artistic Director Tom Parkhill. "As You Like It" is directed by long-time company member Kevin Velasco.

Performed on a rough replica of the new Globe Theatre in London (a reconstruction of Shakespeare's original theatre), the plays will be presented in the timeless style of Elizabethan Theatre presentations.

Spend an entire evening on the Square: enjoy the unique shops, have a nice dinner, and see the play.
