Relix Variety Theatre featuring Abigail Bobo + The Vespers on July 27th

A 26 string folk harp may be an unusual instrument, but the music that Abigail Bobo creates is even more uncommon. With strong rock rhythm, literature inspired lyrics, percussion and even a Led Zeppelin cover, Abigail is changing the perceptions of what harp is. She has been making ripples in the Southeast with her new album, Jubilation, with its themes of war, hope, ancestry and peace. Abigail will catch your ear. More information on Abigail Bobo is available at

The Vespers are one of those lucky young bands who are becoming a word of mouth sensation through their quietly released two albums. With two sisters on lead vocals and two brothers filling out the sound, the foursome are distinguished by an arsenal of instruments and the kind of harmony only siblings can create. They have toured from Boston to Austin, hitting everything from festivals to college campuses in between. On The Fourth Wall, out April 3rd, they create infectious folk-pop with both the buoyancy of youth and deeper spiritual themes. More information on the Vespers is available at

On July 27th, they combine performances on the stage of the Relix Variety Theater at 1208 North Central Street, Knoxville, TN. Cover is a steal at $7 in one of Knoxville's most charming theaters. Tickets can be purchased at With this much energy and talent in one room, you won't want to miss this show.
