Archery Tournament to benefit Hunters for the Hungry

Bowhunters Pro Shop and Heart of the Hunter TV show will be hosting a 3D Shoot Tournament with all proceeds going to the State of Tennesse's Hunters for the Hungry Program on Saturday, August 11.

More than 11% of Tennessee's children and 19% of the elderly go to bed hungry. Hunters for the Hungry is a program of the Tennessee Wildlife Federation in cooperation with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. Through this program, hunters and meat processors fight hunger by providing properly prepared venison to food banks and soup kitchens across the state. Tennessee deer hunters have donated nearly 63 tons of lean, high-protein venison that provided more than half a million meals to their hungry neighbors through local food pantries.

There will be four classes available for the shoot. Prizes for 1st and 2nd place in each category, several door prizes, and a grand prize of a fully loaded hog hunt at the Loshbourgh Hunting Lodge in Crossville, TN.

There will be representatives from TWF, NWTF, Adam's Taxidermy, Drury Outdoors, Antler Attack Deer Minerals, Cornbelt Outfitters, Babes, Bullets and Broadheads, Brothers Hydrographics, and many more.

Registration is from 8-12; awards and door prizes will be given at 2:30. Concessions will be provided by the NWTF Little T Longbeards, Blount County Chapter.
