Knoxville Wildest Party is August 20

By Jeaneane Payne

Knoxville's "wildest" party takes the stage once again at the Knoxville Zoo on Saturday, August 20. From 7:00 to 11:00 p.m., you can enjoy food from some of Knoxville favorite restaurants and dance your way throughout the zoo.

The annual Feast with the Beasts event offers food, drinks, and music on three stages.

Keeping the event lively will be Second Opinion who will entertain on the main Plaza stage. They will play music you can dance to; from classics to contemporary hits. The Kids Cove stage will feature Dream On Alice playing hits from the 70's to the present. Homemade Wine will be performing on the Animal Encounter Village stage for guests who are on "island time" topped off with a special drum experience by Tuatha Dea Drum Nation.

Everyone's favorite foods will be available from appetizers to desserts. Over 40 vendors will have tents including Bayou Bay Seafood House, Highland Brewing Company, Puleo's Grille, Bean's Creek Winery, Brixx Pizza, Ole Smoky Distillery, Sapphire Knoxville, Moe's Southwest Grill, Texas Roadhouse, O'Charley's, Abner's Attic Catering, Latitude 35, Blue Coast Burrito and Smoky Mountain Brewery and a number of great restaurants.

Tickets for Feast with the Beasts are $60 per person in advance and $70 the day of the event. Zoo members receive a $5 discount. Tickets can be purchased online at www.knoxville-zoo.org or by calling (865) 637-5331. Feast with the Beasts is for guests 21 years of age and over and guests must show a valid photo I.D. to enter the event.
