KNOXVILLE – Mountain Laurel Leadership offers its inaugural one-day workshop for women only. This is the first workshop of its kind offered by the new company. The topic of the workshop is Unlocking Leadership Secrets, 5 Keys for Leading with Clarity, Compassion, & Confidence. The workshop’s five modules cover the company’s core principles: leadership passion and purpose, conscious communication, money language and expertise, personal power and influence, and sustainable self-care.

The company partners, Susanne Dalton Dupes, Wendy Pitts Reeves, and Deb Schmitz are the workshop presenters. The trio are founding members of the East Tennessee Women’s Leadership Council, a volunteer organization which hosts a popular annual Summit. “That’s why we created Mountain Laurel,” said company president Susanne Dupes, “we know the value that strong women leaders bring to a company, or a community, so we want to provide the specific kind of training that women leaders need.”

The workshop is scheduled for Friday, March 27th from 8:00 a.m. until 4:45 p.m. at The Avenue in West Knoxville. It is limited to 20 attendees, who will take DISC and Motivators Assessments for the training. Participants can expect to walk away with:

- an understanding of their “why” and how to capitalize on the things that drive them.
- how to dialogue with people who communicate differently.
- how to talk about money in a corporate setting.
- new ways to promote their personal power and influence in the workplace.
- tools to overcome doubt, manage the guilt, and develop sustainable self-care.

Workshop registration for the entire day is only $497, which includes both DISC and Motivators assessments, lunch, and all workshop materials. Susanne Dalton Dupes has 20+ years of award-winning experience in strategic communications and is a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst and Certified Professional Motivators Analyst. She is the Public Relations Chair for the East Tennessee Women’s Leadership Council and a former spokesperson for the Knox County Mayor's Office.

Wendy Pitts Reeves, LCSW, owner of C2C Consulting, is a business coach and motivational speaker who is known for her unique ability to help women break through personal barriers that block true business success. She chairs the East Tennessee Women’s Leadership Council.

Deb Schmitz is a personal finance coach, financial advocate, and author who works at helping women get “real” about money so that they feel safe, secure and smart. She is the financial director of the East Tennessee Women’s Leadership Council and owner of Women's Money Makeover.
