MEMPHIS — Southern Airways today announces new Knoxville flights to/from its Memphis hub, restoring non-stop service between the two cities for the first time in two years.

“We are very pleased to be offering luxury air service directly connecting Knoxville with Metropolitan Memphis,” said Stan Little, Southern Airways Chairman and CEO. “These two great cities have long been the primary business centers for East and West Tennessee, and the idea of having to travel through another state to connect between them is unacceptable. We at Southern are proud to restore direct service for business and leisure travelers, as well as the many University of Tennessee alumni and friends who call Memphis home.”

Initially the service between Knoxville and Memphis will be five days per week, effective October 2. Flights will also be available between Knoxville and Oxford, Miss. every Friday/Sunday, via Memphis, effective October 5. Southern Airways fares between Knoxville and Memphis, and between Knoxville and Oxford, begin at just $198.

“If Knoxvillians embrace our convenient service in the same way that our Memphis and Atlanta passengers have, we look forward to adding more flights and more destinations from McGee- Tyson Airport in the future,” said Little.
