Bliss Home expands into the Nashville market

KNOXVILLE -- Casual contemporary furniture and inspiring home furnishing purveyor, Bliss Home, is thrilled to announce that they are expanding to the Nashville market in early 2014. Bliss Home will open near downtown Nashville in the Melrose area.

Bliss Home will model their Nashville store off of their casual contemporary, lifestyle furniture store in The Gallery located at 7240 Kingston Pike in Knoxville, TN. Bliss Home in The Gallery features 13,000 square feet of quality furniture, room-defining rugs and inspiring art & accessories. Bliss Home also has a staff of designers who go on-site to revamp client's homes through their In-Home Design program.

Since owners Scott Schimmel and Lisa Sorensen opened the first of the Bliss stores in 2003, Bliss and Bliss Home have grown into a downtown Knoxville mainstay. Scott and Lisa have two stores in downtown Knoxville, Bliss, which is their gift and clothing store, and Bliss Home, which features local artists, distinct home furnishings and casual contemporary furniture. Bliss Home expanded to West Knoxville in 2008.

Scott & Lisa won the Rising Star award from the Tennessee Small Business Center in November 2013. Since its inception, Bliss and Bliss Home have been recognized as Best Store, Best Furniture, Best Gift Store and Best Women's Clothing Store by the Metro Pulse Reader's Poll. Bliss and Bliss Home were also voted a Knoxville favorite in the 2012 Knoxville News Sentinel Best of East Tennessee poll. Bliss and Bliss Home have been featured in Southern Living Magazine, Design Sponge, DIY, and HGTV cable networks.
