Knoxville Native Launches New Fashion Boutique for Women
KNOXVLLE -- A new boutique is opening in Knoxville. This specialty boutique will offer the latest women's fashion, shoes, jewelry and accessories.
"I'm thrilled to join Knoxville's thriving small business community," said Valerie Guess, owner of Val's Boutique. "I want women to have the full boutique experience: stylish clothing and accessories at affordable prices with the highest level of customer service. Bearden is the perfect location for my boutique because of its central location and proximity to eclectic dining and shopping options. I look forward to helping local women find the perfect outfit or statement piece for their everyday lives and special occasions."
Guess says she has always had a mind of her own, and her parents encouraged her to work hard to play hard. She knew she wanted to start a company focused on fashion, creativity, travel, and meeting new people. In 2005, she moved to Nashville - a decision that pushed her to learn a lot about herself and go after her dreams. Her dream became a reality two years later when she opened Val's Closet, a clothing retail business based out of her home. With ambition and determination, she hit the road and starting selling young women's apparel at sorority events, country clubs, and charities throughout the south. With an eye for the latest fashion and a focus on fabulous customer service, Valerie soon found a loyal following. In 2011, Guess decided it was time to give the store a permanent home. She legally changed the name to Val's Boutique and opened a storefront location in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The Grand Opening of Val's Boutique will be Saturday, April 2, 2011, 11 a.m - 6 p.m. Val's is located at 7309 Kingston Pike, next to Tomo Sushi.
Guess (formerly Weissinger) attended Farragut schools (Class of '99) and the University of Tennessee-Knoxville (Class of '03) where she was in the Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
