NASHVILLE -- Two University of Tennessee College of Law colleagues have joined forces after 17 years. Allen Blevins, a Knoxville native and a former manager of a 3-lawyer firm in Knoxville, Blevins, Kizer and Gammeltoft, has joined with Derek Crownover in Nashville to form Crownover, Blevins, P.C.

Crownover notes this is not the first time that Blevins and he have worked together or discussed joining. "I have known Allen, his wife and family since law school and we tried a few times in the past to join forces, but the timing, either business or family-wise, wasn't right. He and I continued over the years to share clients in Knoxville, Nashville and the South. With Allen's tax, estate planning and corporate merger background, he not only diversifies us, but increases our top-end considerably."

Allen Blevins is a CPA, lawyer, and licensed real estate broker. He is a frequent speaker in the areas of estate planning, tax, and corporate issues through various professional investment and banking-related organizations. In addition to his various speaking engagements, Blevins has written articles for several statewide professional publications as well serving as an adjunct professor at various colleges teaching accounting and law courses. He has also been an instructor for the Becker/Convisor CPA review course.

Crownover believes Blevins' areas of expertise will add a considerable advantage to the firm that represents the business interests of some of the elite set of music industry professionals as well as some professional athletes and closely-held corporations.
